Billionnography Home

Once upon a time millionaires were the upper echelon of personal wealth. Then came the multi-millionaires. Now we have billionaires. But, they seem to feel that a billion dollars is not enough so we have multi-billionaires. WTF?

The economic system that has made all this possible has also created huge wealth inequality. All boats are not rising.

There are roughly 800 billionaires in the U.S ( over 2700 worldwide ). The top 12, according to inequality.org, have a total net worth* of 2 trillion dollars. They are not the 1%ers, they are probably close to being the .0001%ers.

For me, this extreme wealth is an additional definition of obscenity. Not in the context of the stimulation of sexual pornography but, obscene porn like behavior that stimulates the billionaire’s ego, hence the domain name , billionnography.com. Although there are some billionaires that do some good with their wealth, there are others that look to do harm to, or take advantage of, the less fortunate for their own out of proportion benefit, or just to be mean assholes.

I’ll post stories about the worst billionnographers that I find on a variety of sources, and mix in my own thoughts. Their activities need to be exposed and I don’t believe that main stream media is willing to do it. ( don’t worry I hope it won’t all be depressing, I hope to provide a lighter side too  ).

We’ll be visiting the lives of individual billionaires and when applicable we’ll tie in some stories of corporate billionnography ( where a lot of billionaires make their money ).

*Net worth is the measuring stick of all wealth. – Net worth is the value of all the non-financial and financial assets owned by an individual or institution minus the value of all its outstanding liabilities. Financial assets minus outstanding liabilities equal net financial assets, so net worth can be expressed as the sum of non-financial assets and net financial assets. This concept can apply to companies, individuals, governments, or economic sectors such as the financial corporations sector, or even entire countries. Wikipedia
